This effort requires navigating ambiguity, operating effectively in unstructured environments, and collaborating across departments to move initiatives forward.
Job Description As the Fuels Regulatory & Compliance Specialist II, you will monitor and interpret changes in laws, regulations, and guidelines impacting company operations. You will support or lead fuel-related projects, address regulatory violations and ensure systems and processes meet all compliance standards. Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to, researching, tracking, analyzing, reporting, and summarizing regulatory requirements; improving processes; and implementing solutions to reduce risk across our stores.
Additionally, you will establish working relationships with various internal departments, agencies, trade groups, jurisdictions, and municipalities to ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements. At times, you may be asked to present or update various departments.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities Understand all regulatory requirements for new and existing stores (product specifications and signage requirements).Work with the Permits & Licenses and Environmental to ensure the proper applications and renewals for permits related to specific product offers or underground tank certifications are in place.Work closely with multiple departments to ensure all our stores meet and continue to meet all regulatory requirements.Become an expert on all regulatory requirements related to our product offer across our Retail network.Maintain electronic files of existing regulations.Maintain regulatory requirements for our stores that will inform signage or fuel products.Work with local counsel as required to ensure compliance.Keep informed of proposed or pending regulatory changes to understand the potential impact on our operations.Coordinate with the Product & Supply teams to ensure stores remain compliant in the event of a regulation change, change in product offering, or as product specifications change during the year.Assist in developing a comprehensive desk manual that creates standardized processes and streamlines procedures in an organized manner.Compile research findings to illustrate the impact on MUSA that can be used for presentations.Assist in auditing programs, processes, and procedures for compliance or risk.Assist in researching and addressing violations by an inspector.Asist in compiling and analyzing data to establish KPI’sSupport fuel-related projects by researching regulations and summarizing findingsAsist in creating, implementing and maintaining reporting for the department.Travel may sometimes be required to attend conferences, meetings with vendors, or visit stores.Perform any other related duties as required or assigned.#J-18808-Ljbffr
