• Assist the pharmacist under direct supervision in the practice of pharmacy, in accordance with state, federal, and company policy.
• Use pharmacy systems to obtain patient and drug information and process prescriptions accurately.
• Assist pharmacists in scheduling and maintaining workflow and report prescription errors immediately.
• Operate the pharmacy cash register, register all sales, handle cash, and assist customers in the OTC aisle.
• Process and resubmit manual claims for third‑party prescription services promptly.
• Support inventory management activities: ordering, unpacking, checking, and storing pharmaceuticals.
• Assist with clinical services such as collecting and labeling blood/urine samples and coordinating Walgreens healthcare clinics.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and well‑stocked pharmacy department.
• Collaborate with the local medical community through outreach and provider detailing.
• Complete special assignments and other tasks as assigned by pharmacy management.

• Engage customers and patients by greeting them and offering assistance with products and services.
• Resolve customer issues and answer questions to ensure a positive experience.
• Demonstrate customer service best practices, including proactive help, interpersonal habits, and Walgreens service traits.
• Develop strong relationships with most valuable customers.

• Earn and maintain PTCB or ExCPT certification through the designated training program or state‑required certification.
• Attend training, complete PPLs requested by management, and acquire continuing education credits.

• Fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English. (Except in Puerto Rico)
• Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.

• At least six months of experience in a retail environment.
• Prior work experience with Walgreens.
• Strong math skills for accurate prescription filling.
• Good computer skills.
• Knowledge of store inventory control.
• PTCB or ExCPT certification.
