Building Maintenance, Maintenance Technician / Mechanic
Perform a variety of routine and semi-skilled maintenance work in one or more assigned trade areas such as carpentry, locksmith, electrical, plumbing, painting, heating, and air conditioning; perform a variety of floor care activities including carpet repair and installation and vinyl and tile flooring repair and installation; assist other skilled maintenance workers as assigned. The incumbents in this classification assist in supporting students by ensuring safe and healthy classrooms and work environments for staff and students which directly supports student learning.
Requirements/ Qualifications
- Graduation from high school or equivalent.
- One year performing a variety of maintenance work in one or more of the building maintenance trades.
- Detailed resume describing detailed experience.

Located in east San Diego County. The district is 66.3 square miles in size, and serves elementary students in grades K‑8 feeding into the Grossmont Union High School District. The district has approximately 16,600 students, plus approximately 800 preschool students, with 26 schools (6 middle schools, 19 elementary schools and 1 preschool). The District is largely urban in nature with some rural areas.
