The Retail Associate is responsible for ensuring customers have a positive shopping experience. The Associate greets customers, maintains a clean work area, ensures proper merchandise presentation, and performs a range of functions across the store as business needs require. Additional tasks may be requested to help achieve customer service and operational goals.
Essential Functions- Understand that safety is the number one priority and practice safe behaviors.
- Maintain a high level of awareness on the sales floor and keep egress clear; report unsafe conditions.
- Treat customers and associates with respect and courtesy.
- Assist customers as a register‑trained associate; answer questions politely and helpfully.
- Respond to customer service calls immediately; handle issues courteously and involve store leadership when needed.
- Represent and support the company brand at all times.
- Perform cleaning tasks such as sweeping, mopping, dusting, wiping counters and mirrors, replenishing restroom supplies, and disinfecting high‑touch areas.
- Maintain a professional appearance and adhere to the dress code.
- Perform daily sizing and recovery per best practice to keep the store neat and well‑merchandised.
- Expedite newly received merchandise receipts quickly to the sales floor.
- Understand loss‑prevention programs, short‑age highway, and merchandising standards.
- Demonstrate integrity and honesty in all interactions; safeguard confidential information, cash, credit card information, and merchandise.
- Follow MOS policies; process and notify disposal properly.
- Follow all cash, check, charge‑card, refund, void, and offline procedures; manage bankable tenders accurately.

- Effectively communicate with customers, associates and store leadership in a friendly, respectful, cooperative manner.
- Perform basic mathematical calculations commonly used in retail.
- Use all store equipment including PDTs, registers and PCs.
- Stand, walk and move around the store up to 100% of working time.
- Bend at waist, squat, kneel, climb, carry, reach and stoop regularly.
- Pushing, pulling and lifting more than 25 pounds occasionally.
- Use janitorial equipment, rolling racks, ladders and assigned supplies.
- Stockroom shifts may require pushing, pulling and lifting more than 20 pounds.

CompensationThe base pay range for this role is $16.50 – $17.00 per hour. The range is dependent on factors including experience, skills, qualifications, relevant education, certifications, seniority, and location. Other rewards may vary by position and location.
