Duties & Responsibilities

SUMMARY

This occupation requires the set up and operation of triple acting hydro press with some assistance provided by supervisor or lead. To fabricate sheet metal detail parts of light gauge material. Installing and removing dies and punches of various sizes and weight. This occupation includes lifting, bending, and considerable time standing.

Minimum of two (2) years experience in a manufacturing environment strongly desired.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Ability to perform setups and operate various sheet metal related equipment with some assistance.

Select correct tooling for the job task with setup documents or supervisor/lead assistance.

Responsible for checking all operations from material gauge and type through final forming.

Read and interpret blueprints and travelers.

Knowledge of material types.

Fabricate parts to dimensional tolerances as required by engineering drawings.

Safely operate a forklift to handle materials and completed work.

Deburring and finishing work.

Perform all other duties as assigned or directed.

Qualifications

Must have strong basic fabrication background.

Ability to read and interpret blueprints and travelers.

Basic knowledge and understanding of fabrication, hydraulic press and/or punch operations including basic set up is desired.

Competent at basic dimensional measuring and able to quickly learn the use of precision measurements tools.

Demonstrated competency in basic shop math.

Ability to pass examination which qualifies you for certification in Industrial Truck Safety (forklift training) as required by CCR Title 8 Section 3668.

Able to use 90 degrees grinders, oscillators, files, body grinders, die grinders, and degreasing.

Desire to learn new skills and improve technical knowledge.

Pay Range: $23 - $30/hour

Work Schedule: Friday - Sunday, 5AM - 5:30PM
