Job SummaryWe are expanding our team and have an exciting opportunity for a Senior CNC Machinist to join our growing operation in El Cajon, CA. We’re looking for a highly skilled machinist who can elevate our capabilities and support our commitment to precision, quality, and continuous improvement. The Senior CNC Machinist main responsibilities include responding to customer’s RFQ’s, setting up CNC lathes and mills, performing occasional operation and maintenance, and ensuring all work meets strict safety and quality standards.
This position requires strong technical expertise, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to work independently in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment.
- Train and mentor team members on CNC machining best practices
- Maintain an organized, efficient workspace and ensure adherence to all safety protocols
- Ensure compliance with ISO 9001 and AS9100 quality management standards
- Perform in-process and first-article inspections using calipers, micrometers, indicators, and gauges
- Review customer RFQs and provide accurate, timely quote responses
- Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, job orders, and GD&T requirements
- Develop machining processes and program CNC lathes and mills
- Set up and operate CNC lathes and mills for production and prototype work
- Select appropriate tools, fixtures, work holdings, and machine parameters
- Troubleshoot machining and equipment issues and perform basic preventive maintenance
- Collaborate with customers, engineers, quality personnel, and supervisors to optimize processes and improve throughput
- Document production activities, maintain accurate records, and report any deviations or nonconformances

Job Qualifications- High school diploma or technical certificate in machining or manufacturing
- +10 years of experience operating CNC lathe and mill machines
- G-code, M-code, and CNC programming experience
- Strong understanding of GD&T and precision measurement techniques
- Effective communication and teamwork skills
- Knowledge of safety protocols and shop procedures
- Able to walk for long periods of time, stoop, squat, climb, and work extended hours and weekends if required.
$30 - $50 per hour; negotiable
ScheduleFlexible 4-10’s Monday – Thursday
- 1st Shift: Start 4:00/6:00 AM – End 2:30/4:30 PM
- 2nd shift:
Start 2:30/4:30 PM – End 12:30/2:30 AM
