As a Supervising SLP, you'll empower our team and our clients by providing hands‑on therapy and conducting evaluations for children ages 0‑3 with developmental delays. You'll also mentor and supervise Speech‑Language Pathology Assistants (SLPAs), helping them grow and succeed.

What You’ll Be Doing:
Foundations of Care- Reviews collateral and intake information provided.
- Evaluates a child's level of speech, language, and/or swallowing difficulty.
- Completes intake paperwork, assessments, reports, and treatment plans with identified children and their families.
- Assists in the development of the Individual Family Service Plan (IFSP).
- Schedules, plans, and conducts home visits with assigned families to carry out treatment plans and IFSP goals.
- Maintains ongoing communication with families and members of the to coordinate program services.
- Prepares, collects, and maintains educational information files, records, case notes, and documentation from outside agencies.
- Conducts research related to families' needs for service and provides resources and educational information.
- Travels throughout assigned county (San Diego or Imperial) to complete sessions in family homes and other community locations.
- Completes supervision of Speech‑Language Pathology Assistants (SLPAs) in accordance with California Speech‑Language Pathology & Audiology Board regulations, including direct and indirect supervision and documentation requirements.
- Assists with training employees on policies, procedures, and assessment curriculum.
- Completes Quality Assurance evaluations consisting of staff observations and identification of ongoing training needs.
- Designs in‑services and consults with staff as the Lead Speech‑Language Pathology expert.
- Reviews, tracks, and provides feedback on the written reports/collateral of staff.
What You’ll Bring To
The Role:
- Current license from the State of California Speech‑Language Pathology Board.
- Master's degree in Speech‑Language Pathology from an educational program accredited by the American Speech‑Language‑Hearing Association (ASHA) and the Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC).
- At least 2 years of full‑time experience or 3,120 hours as a licensed or credentialed SLP.
- Completion of at least 6 hours of continuing professional development in supervision training prior to the commencement of supervision.
- Minimum one (1) year SLP experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities. Minimum one (1) year pediatrics experience (birth to 5 years of age).
- Must be 18 years of age or older at the time of hire.
- Must receive criminal record clearance from DOJ.
- Must have a valid California Driver's license, safe driving record, and have been licensed to drive at least 2 years.
- Must maintain current and adequate auto insurance.
- Must obtain CPR/FA certification if not already certified (we offer training for new hires).
- Read, write, speak, and understand the English language.
- Proficient in Microsoft Word and Outlook.
- Collaborative‑minded professional with strong oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to form positive, supportive, and professional working relationships.
- Detail‑oriented with the ability to ensure the accuracy of program documents and paperwork.
