Venue Usher​/Ticket Taker - Magnolia

Overview

This role supports venue operations as an Usher/Greeter/Ticket Taker at The Magnolia, helping to ensure safety, assist guests, and maintain a clean and welcoming environment before, during, and after the show.

• Greet guests, scan tickets upon entry, answer questions, help guests locate seats, and examine tickets for entry to various seating levels during the event.
• Help keep the venue safe, clean, and presentable to guests.
• Resolve guest complaints or problems.
• Examine tickets or passes to verify authenticity.
• Provide assistance to guests with special needs, such as seating accommodations.
• Support venue recycling and sustainability efforts before, during, and after the show.
• Guide guests to exits or provide other instructions in case of emergency.
• May assist in verifying staff credentials for generally restricted areas.
• Assist with sustainability programs that conserve resources and educate fans about efforts.
• Help with post-show venue closeout tasks, such as collecting recyclables and storing equipment.
• Provide directions inside or outside the venue and ensure guests are safely enjoying the show.
• Perform additional tasks as requested by management.

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
• At least 1+ year in a guest service role preferred
• Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
• Good judgment, tact, and diplomacy
• Constant walking, climbing stairs, and occasional sitting; ability to lift and carry 25 lbs+
