Service Delivery Engineer

We are seeking a skilled Platform Engineer with a strong background in IT Infrastructure and Private Cloud technologies. In this role, you will design, deploy, and maintain the foundational infrastructure that powers our business applications and services. You will collaborate closely with development, operations, and security teams to ensure our environment remains reliable, scalable, automated, and secure.

Day to day:

Infrastructure Design and Implementation:

• Design and deploy Windows-based infrastructure solutions.
• Implement automation scripts for deployment (Infra as code), monitoring, and maintenance.
• Ensure high availability and disaster recovery solutions are in place.

System Administration:

• Manage and maintain our virtualization platforms, servers, including updates, patches, and security configurations.
• Infrastructure coding
• Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues as they arise.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and industry standards.

Automation and Scripting:

• Develop and maintain Power Shell scripts for automation of routine tasks.
• Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools like Ansible.

Collaboration and Support:

• Work with development teams to optimize application performance on Windows platforms.
• Provide technical support and guidance to other IT staff and end-users.
• Collaborate with security teams to implement and maintain security best practices.

Monitoring and Reporting:

• Set up and manage monitoring tools to ensure system health and performance.
• Automated Event Driven Operations.
• Generate regular reports on system performance, uptime, and security incidents.

Qualifications:

• Education:
  
  Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Experience:
  • 3+ years of experience in a similar role.
  • Proven experience within IT Infrastructure.
  • Experience with virtualization technologies (e.g. VMware).
  • 3+ years of coding experience
• Skills:
  • Strong knowledge of IT Infrastructure Services
  • Proficiency in scripting languages (Power Shell, Python)
  • Excellent Infra coding skills
  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Experience as a Control-M Administrator (Nice to have)

Preferred Qualifications:

• Certifications such as Microsoft Certified:
  Azure Administrator, Microsoft Certified:
  Windows Server Hybrid Administrator Associate.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and Dev Ops practices.
• Knowledge of containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
• Knowledge of Ansible
• Advanced knowledge of Service Now
