Design and optimization of photocatalytic reactor for breakdown of ammonia.

Company Overview: Inno Flex is an innovative start-up specializing in the development and implementation of industrial-scale photocatalytic systems to combat air pollution. The very first systems will target ammonia the industry and livestock sector. Ammonia is a big contributor to a pressing problem within the Netherlands called the “stikstof Crisis”.

Assignment: As a Mechanical Engineer at Inno Flex, you will develop, build, and fine-tune a cutting-edge photocatalytic reactor system. This hands-on experience will provide you with a unique opportunity to make an impact and play a part in bringing an innovative solution to the market.

Your activities will include:

• Design: Design the photocatalytic reactor system, considering factors such as materials, geometry, airflow, configuration of lights and material and scalability.
• Prototyping: build your own design of reactor, working with various mechanical components and systems. You will be actively supported and working together with a team of experts.
• Testing: Conduct experiments and performance tests on the photocatalytic reactor to evaluate its efficiency, durability, and safety for the breakdown of ammonia.
• Optimization: Analyze test results and contribute to the optimization of the reactor's design and operational parameters.
• Collaboration: Work closely with the rest of the team and external parties. Through this experience you will also learn of other disciplines such as material development and business development.

Requirements:

• A minimum of a bachelor s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related technical discipline.
• 1-2 years relevant work experience in designing and developing mechanical systems, preferably within the industry or a startup environment.
• Strong knowledge of and experience with mechanical design tools and software, such as CAD/CAE software.
• (Pre) Experience in performing technical calculations, simulations, and analyses.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and analytical thinking.
• Team player with strong communication skills and the ability to convey technical information clearly.
• Entrepreneurial, results-oriented, and capable of working independently.
