FPGA Engineer | Engineering

As an FPGA Engineer at ALTEN you have a lot of diversity in assignments and you enjoy developing for different customers and markets.

In this role you are part of our Electrical Design team, which consists of Electrical and Electronic Design Engineers. With this team we develop complex embedded systems or machines. What you will work on depends on what you have already seen and where your ambitions lie. We’d love to talk to you to investigate this! In addition to being able to use your knowledge on the project, we encourage you to share your knowledge within the team.

Projects
One project we are currently working on is a design project for an advanced machine platform. In this project, you as an experienced FPGA Engineer could play a key role in signal and sensor data handling of the machine. As an FPGA Engineer, your expertise in FPGA design, proficiency in programming languages like VHDL or Verilog in addition to your understanding of digital signal processing (DSP) concepts will be essential.

Additionally, your ability to integrate FPGAs with embedded systems will be highly valuable.

Education

• You have a completed education at HBO/WO level in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or similar.

Experience
You have experience with and knowledge of:

• The tooling of Xilinx and/or Altera;
• Verification and validation flows

Optional
It is not a requirement, but you have an advantage if you:

• Can program in Python, C++ and/or C
• Have experience with Digital Signal Processing
• Have knowledge of system integration and testing
• Have knowledge of Embedded systems and microprocessors
