Senior Commissioning Engineer Role Description

Full‑time, on‑site Senior Commissioning Engineer role based primarily in London with potential travel across the UK, Europe, and worldwide.

The Senior Commissioning Engineer leads the commissioning of audio‑visual systems ensuring compliance with project requirements and highest performance standards. Responsibilities include configuration and testing of AV over IP systems, troubleshooting, system calibration, verifying performance specifications, and delivering technical guidance to project teams, clients, and internal staff. The role involves collaborating with cross‑functional teams and supporting system handovers.

• Proficiency in configuration and testing practices for AV & AVoIP systems.
• Experience in commissioning engineering and applied electrical engineering knowledge.
• Industry‑standard certifications and experience deploying systems from major manufacturers such as QSC, Shure, Crestron, with a broad understanding of transport protocols such as AVoIP, Dante, & NDI as a minimum.
• Strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to implement solutions.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to deliver high‑quality work under time constraints.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills for working with cross‑functional teams.
• Relevant certifications or training in electrical engineering, AV, or a related field are advantageous.
• Proven experience in an AV or electrical engineering setting highly preferred.
