Registered Nurse Preop​/PACU - Egg Harbor Township Surgery Center

The Perioperative Nurse is responsible for providing exceptional patient care and family support throughout the three phases of the surgical experience. This position provides the physician members of the healthcare team with the equipment, supplies and support in the Pre-Op and PACU areas. This position supports organizational goals by providing quality customer service, participating in performance improvement efforts and demonstrating a commitment to teamwork and cooperation.

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing. Bachelor's in nursing preferred.
• Current licensure as Registered Nurse in the State of New Jersey required.
• BLS required.
• ACLS required. PALS required within 6 months from date of hire or transfer.
• Proficiency in Clinical Applications preferred at time of hire; training for required skills within 30-60 days from date of hire.
• Prior Ambulatory Surgery Center experience preferred.

• 1-3 years critical care experience preferred.
• ACLS required; PALS required within 6 months from date of hire or transfer.
• ASPAN preferred.
• Certified Perianesthesia Ambulatory Nurse (CPAN), Certified Ambulatory Perianesthesia Nurse (CAPN).

Potential for exposure to hazards and risk of the hospital environment, blood borne pathogens, hazardous substances, and potential injury. This position works in a busy, noisy environment and has frequent interruptions requiring re-evaluation of priorities. This position requires standing for long periods of time, occasional lifting up to 20 pounds and walking short distances quickly.
