The Perioperative Nurse is responsible for providing exceptional patient care and family support throughout the three phases of the surgical experience. This position provides the physician members of the healthcare team with the equipment, supplies and support in the Pre-Op and PACU areas. This role supports organizational goals by providing quality customer service, participating in performance improvement efforts, and demonstrating a commitment to teamwork and cooperation.

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing;
  Bachelor's in nursing preferred.
• Current licensure as Registered Nurse in the State of New Jersey required.
• BLS and ACLS required; PALS required within 6 months from date of hire. PALS required if pediatric ASC patient population.
• Advanced certification required (e.g., ASPAN, CPAN, CAPN preferred).
• 1–3 years critical care experience preferred.
• Proficiency in clinical applications preferred at time of hire; skill to be achieved within 30–60 days.
• Prior Ambulatory Surgery Center experience preferred.

Potential exposure to hazards including blood borne pathogens, infectious disease, hazardous substances, and risk of injury. Work in a busy, noisy environment with frequent interruptions requiring re-evaluation of priorities. Requires standing for long periods, occasional lifting up to 20 pounds, and quick walking short distances.
