Position Overview
The Information Technology Specialist provides expert IT support and advisory services to advance business objectives for FAA customers, projects, and programs. This role supports enterprise‑level systems, network operations, cybersecurity initiatives, and specialized toolset development.
Key ResponsibilitiesInformation Technology & Network Support
- Provide IT support and consultation to ensure effective technology use across FAA programs.
- Administer, evaluate, install, maintain, and support LAN and WAN systems.
- Deliver GUI access to databases using tools such as Java, CORBA, and C++.
- Design, test, and implement interface programs; develop and regulate security procedures.
- Perform planning, cost analysis, and support for large‑scale IT projects.
- Troubleshoot LAN and WAN applications and coordinate network policies, procedures, and standards.
- Assist with user training.
Cybersecurity & Enterprise Architecture Support
- Provide lifecycle support for NAS enterprise‑level Facilities and Equipment Cybersecurity services and OPS activities.
- Support development of cybersecurity standards and policies.
- Assist with integrating NAS systems into enterprise architecture at strategic and tactical levels.
Cybersecurity Toolset Development & Management
- Support the design, development, implementation, maintenance, and testing of ATO Cybersecurity Toolsets.
- Develop Asset Management Toolsets that comply with OMB or other federal cybersecurity mandates.
- Support integration of Cybersecurity Threat Modeling tools with other ATO systems and toolsets.
- Establish and maintain secure online data repositories accessible only to authorized stakeholders.
- Develop and manage processes, tools, and procedures to support ATO‑wide Cybersecurity Program activities.
- Manage and safeguard access to cybersecurity tools and data in alignment with Government, FAA, and organizational policies.
- U.S. Citizenship is required
- Must be able to obtain a Public Trust clearance
- Bachelor's degree in related IT field
- Minimum 6 years of relevant experience
- FAA experience a bonus
