Job Title
: PACE III High School Guidance Liaison

Reports to
:
Director of Vocational Education and CTE and Supervisor of CTE

Job Purpose
:
Works closely with the Apprenticeship Instructor, Director of Vocational Education & CTE, Supervisor of CTE, College Liaison and High School Administration in the service of students enrolled in the Apprenticeship program.

Qualifications-Required
NJ School Counselor Certification
Bachelor's Degree
Experience as a school counselor
Strong communication skills
Knowledge of career programs

Qualifications-Desired
Master’s Degree Preferred

Experience with secondary CTE programs
Experience working with advisory committees

Duties/Responsibilities
Work closely with PACE College Liaison
Serve asguidanceoffice contact for Pre-apprenticeship students
Conduct one-on-one or group counseling sessions to help students develop their portfolios to complete pre-apprenticeship programs
Serve as a member of the apprenticeship advisory committee
Ensure pre-apprenticeship students are reaching graduation credit benchmarks to graduate high school on time
Track and input credits for student workplace training hours
Provide career advice and post-secondaryguidanceto pre-apprenticeship students
Assist with pre-apprenticeship kick off meetings and information sessions for students and parents during and after school hours as scheduled
Support students with paperwork needed for dual credit and credentialing programs
