Job SummaryTravel Centers of America offers a convenient, one‑stop shopping experience. The Deli Clerk is a key team member who assists guests at the deli counter, recommends foods, cuts meats and cheeses, and more, ensuring every traveler leaves better than they arrived.
Responsibilities- Work in a fun, customer‑focused environment.
- Serve customers courteously, quickly, and with a positive attitude.
- Slice meats and cheeses, take inventory, and promote deli products.
- Process transactions using a point‑of‑sale (POS) register.
- Clean and prepare workstations, follow safety guidelines, and report unsafe situations.
- Update displays, cases, and other customer‑facing areas to showcase new items and promotions.
- Establish strong communication and rapport with leaders and co‑workers.
- Perform other job‑related duties as assigned.
- A dedicated individual who works well with others and is excited to join our team.
- Prior Deli Clerk experience preferred, but not required.
- Basic computer/POS knowledge preferred.
- Cash handling skills preferred.
- Good verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and some holidays.
