Salary Range: $103,700 - $138,200+ annually

Position Summary

The Senior Commercial Relationship Manager (SCRM) identifies and develops new client relationships for Midland States Bank. The role maintains and expands relationships with existing clients—whether inherited or newly developed—and acts as an advisor and advocate for clients and prospects within the bank. The SCRM builds and maintains a network of market influencers, focusing on Commercial Real Estate and Commercial & Industrial opportunities while representing Midland States Bank’s vision and values internally and in the community.

Accountabilities
  • Generate a minimum of $15MM in new loan commitments annually.
  • Collect a minimum of $30,000 in loan fees annually.
  • Maintain an active list of loan and depository prospects and conduct well‑planned, value‑added joint calls.
  • Develop a comprehensive plan for all clients and prospects to refer and bring other Midland Resources to the relationship on an ongoing basis.
  • Analyze financial data, structure and negotiate transactions, and perform ongoing credit maintenance.
  • Minimize delinquencies by aggressively collecting past‑due loans and ensuring timely reporting from clients.
  • Maintain compliance with all applicable regulations.
  • Assist as a team resource in commercial meetings and activities.
  • Proficiency in applicable computer systems related to the position.
  • Complete all required training.
  • Participate in a minimum of 25 hours per year of organizational involvement that enhances business opportunities for the Bank.
  • Willingness to travel periodically within the market for training and team meetings.
  • May require work in a Midland office to support internal and external customers.
  • Maintain compliance with all applicable regulations, including the Bank Secrecy Act (BSA).
  • Other duties as assigned.
Position Qualifications

Education/

Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Accounting, or related field.
  • Minimum 5 years’ (10 years preferred) experience in Commercial Banking.
  • Successful completion of bank training specific to the position.
  • Proficient in credit analysis.
  • Direct sales experience of 5‑10 years.
  • Proven success of meeting or exceeding annual goals for the prior three years.
  • Developed concentration in Commercial Real Estate, Commercial and Industrial, or Specialized Credits.
