Heartland Dental is looking to expand our team! We are looking for a flexible team player who is always professional and service oriented.
As a Fee Schedule Coordinator, your role includes maintaining insurance plans and fee schedules for our supported offices while delivering a high level of customer service to the doctors and their teams. You will also help implement and roll out full fee recommendations to our supported doctors once a year. To give you an idea of the team structure, you will work within a small team environment, reporting to the Fee Schedule Supervisor.
Heartland Dental is the nation's largest dental support organization, providing non-clinical administrative support services to more than 3,000 supported doctors across 39 states and the District of Columbia in 1,900+ dental offices. Each Heartland Dental supported office is unique to the community and the patients they serve. Supported doctors are the clinical leaders of their practice, retain full clinical autonomy, and establish their own care philosophies.

Below is an overview of the duties and responsibilities associated with this position:
- Gain a full understanding of the different types of dental insurance/Medicaid plans through team and departmental collaboration.
- Collaborate with our supported practices to problem solve issues related to dental insurance.
- Build relationships with representatives at insurance companies to obtain fee schedules, co-pays or payment schedules.
- Assist with coordinating and managing the fee schedule updates of all Heartland contracted insurance plans to ensure completion by the effective date.
- Gain a full understanding of the insurance set up within Dentrix. (Operating system our supported offices utilize)
- Other projects as assigned
- Practical knowledge of Dental or Medical insurance concepts.
- Strong computer skills, including experience with Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel and PowerPoint.
- Strong organizational skills, accuracy, and attention to detail.
- Ability to work in a fast paced, deadline driven environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- High level of maturity, personal initiative, and sound judgment.
- Experience with insurance is a plus.
