The RoleWe are seeking a dedicated, energetic Assistant Golf Professional to join us full‑time, year‑round. This position is designed for a professional who is eager to learn all facets of a premier private operation. You will be a key face of the club, ensuring an unparalleled experience for members while developing your skills in tournament tech, merchandising, and instruction.
Experience Required- PGA Associate or Professional: Currently enrolled in or aspiring to enter the PGA Professional Golf Management Program.
- Experience: Prior experience in member services or private club operations preferred.
- Tech Savvy: Familiarity with Golf Genius and Jonas (POS/Tee Time) is a significant plus. Willingness to learn those systems is required.
- Commitment: A service‑first heart and a desire to grow within the industry.
- Daily Operations: Assist in the daily management of the golf shop, including opening/closing procedures, tee sheet management, and point‑of‑sale operations.
- Tournament Excellence: Execute member events and outside outings using Golf Genius Tournament Management software.
- Outside Service Supervision: Provide leadership to the bag room, range, and starter teams to ensure seamless transitions for players.
- Retail & Merchandising: Assist with receiving, displaying, and selling premium merchandise; manage special orders with prompt communication.
- Member Engagement: Build lasting relationships with the membership; assist with the handicap system and rules inquiries.
- Player Development: Support Junior Golf programs, PGA Junior League, and clinics.
- Professional Growth: PGA Dues paid by the club; PGA Education Allowance and PGA Show attendance.
- Equipment & Apparel: Staff Equipment Agreement and clothing allowance.
- Insurance: Health, Dental, Vision, and Life/AD&D Insurance per Club policy.
- Retirement: Plan with employer match per Club policy.
- Club Perks: Practice/playing privileges; meals while on duty; annual Holiday Bonus.
