• A Speech-Language Pathologist who excels in this role performs and documents initial and ongoing assessments of the patient s condition.
• Designs and implements a plan of care appropriate to identified problems, involving the patient and family.
• Educates and counsels patients and families regarding treatment plans and progress.
• Plans and/or assists with patient discharge from therapy services.
• Supervises activities of clinical fellows, students, and other support personnel.

• A Bachelor s and Master s degree in Speech-Language Pathology, Communication Disorders, or a similarly titled area that is consistent and acceptable to the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA).
• Possess or eligible for a Certificate of Clinical Competence from ASHA or be eligible to participate as an ASHA Clinical Fellow (CFY).
• Licensed or eligible for licensure in state.
• Current Basic Life Support
