The Edwardsville, IL Office of Modjeski and Masters is seeking a Highway Design Engineer with at least 5 years of related experience.

• Mid-level engineer with at least 5 years of related experience in the design and development of transportation projects.
• A minimum of a BS degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET accredited College or University with an emphasis on Highway/Transportation Design.
• Professional Engineer license in IL or MO is preferred, or eligible to take the exam.

• Coordinate with technical staff in performing a variety of non-structural engineering tasks, including the development of plans, specifications, and cost estimates.
• Highway Design, including but not limited to roadway geometrics, drainage, pavement design, permanent signage, intersections, and work zone traffic control.
• Perform additional duties as assigned, including occasional field assignments and assistance with statements of interest and technical/price proposals.
• Strong organizational skills to prioritize and perform highway related tasks for multiple projects פּל; IDOT and/or MoDOT experience is preferred.
• Familiarity with plan preparation, including roadway, traffic control, signage & pavement marking, erosion & sediment control, utility, and cross sections.
• Micro Station/AutoCAD experience with Open Roads/Civil 3D proficiency, scheduling experience are pluses.
• Good oral and written communication skills, with a fluency in English.
