Base pay range: $47,000.00/yr - $83,000.00/yr
Sign-On Bonus: $5,000 - $10,000

WHATYOU WILL DO
- Develop and implement educational activities and programs in accordance with IEP goals, ensuring activities are functional and age appropriate.
- Plan daily and weekly schedules for each student.
- Collect and analyze IEP goal data and evaluate any changes to IEP goals needed.
- Prepare assessments and present levels of performance for IEP meetings and participate in development of appropriate IEP goals for students.
- Train, supervise, and evaluate classroom lead teacher aide and education specialists.
- Maintain current classroom information book, student program books, lesson plans, student files, and emergency packets.
- Maintain regular communication with parents or guardians regarding students' educational progress, programs, and activities.
- Model appropriate behavior to students and staff, treating students with dignity and respect.
- Valid Illinois teaching license.
- Valid LBS 1 certification (or meet all requirements for short-term emergency approval for LBS 1 certification).
- Ability to meet all licensing standards of the Department of Human Services and the Department of Child and Family Services.
- 3+ years experience as a Special Education Classroom Teacher.
- Previous supervisory experience.
- Good interpersonal skills.
