The Material Handling Technician is responsible for shipping and receiving activities along with facility maintenance and inventory as related to branch requirements.
Key position functions include:
Contact transport companies to setup outgoing shipments and handle applicable paperworkPerform hotshot services to location as requiredPick and distribute material for storage or shippingShip and receive products and equipmentLoad/unload trucks with forklift and/or craneOrganize and maintain the work area, including maintenance of equipment, product storage containers and rackingManage inventory by stocking incoming transferred itemsPerform regular cycle counts of new stockPaint products as requiredPerform other duties as assignedPreferred candidates will possess a combination of the following:
High School Diploma, supplemented with related two years of gate valve or wellhead assembly or rebuilding experience preferredMechanical assembly/repair experienceForklift experience an assetComputer skills an assetKnowledge of Stream-Flo and/or competitors equipment would be an assetStrong mechanical aptitude, good work ethic and willingness to learnStrong commitment to workplace health and safetyStrong communication (oral and written) skillsDetail oriented, strong work ethic and good interpersonal skillsSelf-motivated, good organizational skillsAbility to work independently and in a team environmentValid driver’s licenseIn order to meet customer site access safety requirements, applicants must participate in an alcohol and drug test and show compliance with Stream-Flo’s Alcohol and Drug Policy before being considered eligible for hire.
