What You’ll Do:
Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair vehicles using diagnostic tools; perform required maintenance, part replacements, and test drives/operations as neededConduct scheduled, routine and preventative maintenance to the fleet, including CVIP inspectionsAccurately document all service and repair activities and coordinate timely parts procurement to support shop operationsCollaborate with technicians, management, and drivers to meet shop schedules and priorities while adhering to all safety, environmental, and HR procedures in compliance with OH&S and inspection standardsMaintain a clean and safe workspace; communicate effectively with team members; support and mentor apprentices, recommend training needs, and participate in company training programs as requiredWhat We’re Looking For:
Journeyperson Heavy Equipment Technician (HET) or a 4th Year ApprenticeCVIP (Commercial Vehicle Inspection Program) License, or a willingness to obtain one within the probationary periodMinimum 2–5 years of relevant experience with on‑highway vehiclesValid Class 5 driver’s licenseStrong analytical, troubleshooting, and decision-making skillsSolid knowledge of Health & Safety practices, including OH&S regulations, with strong attention to detailStrong problem‑solving and troubleshooting ability, especially under time pressureGood time management and organizational skills to handle multiple work orders and prioritiesEmployment is subject to a satisfactory background check and pre-employment drug and alcohol screeningWillingness for occasional travel, depending on operational requirementsBonus Points if You Have:
Prior Journeyperson Mechanic experience considered an assetPrior experience maintaining motorcoach vehicles or a large on‑highway fleet, including transit busesClass 1, 2 or 3 license with Q (Air Endorsement)
