AM Class 1 Tractor Driver

Our client, in the logistics field, is seeking an AM Class 1 Tractor Driver to join their team.

Job Title: AM Class 1 Tractor Driver

Location:

Edmonton, AB

Shift: Monday to Friday: 8:00am to 4:30pm
Pay Rate: $27/hour

Responsibilities:

• Drive truck and make deliveries daily using 53ft trailer, 3-ton or 5-ton vehicles
• Ensure representation of the routes to ensure 100% of deliveries daily
• Assist in the facility if needed on each facility stop
• Ensuring that all inspection and maintenance are verified and done on the units and follow the proper guidelines daily
• Maintain and monitor/ track trailer temperature from departure to arrival at Facility to always preserve ambient temperature
• Maintain and complete the truck inspection log daily with samsara fleet
• Maintain a good relationship with colleagues and customers
• Follows up on the compliance of temperature control of your tractor / trailer daily so that corrective actions are quickly taken.
• Follows up with the dispatch / supervisor on the compliance of proof of delivery and scan use of all deliveries in the area daily and communicate if needed

What’s Needed?

• Valid Class 1 Driver's License for at least 3 years required
• Over the age of 25 years (to meet company insurance requirements)
• Ability to provide a clear driver's abstract and proof of clear criminal history
• Experience as a Class 1 driver/ parcel delivery
• Ability to problem-solve and collaborate with Dispatch and customers
• Strong oral and written communication skills in English
• Ability to lift up to 50lbs and work safely in varying weather conditions
