Year-Round Operator, Highway Maintenance

• Operate snowplow trucks, wheel loaders and other heavy equipment as required.
• Maintain Alberta Provincial Highways year‑round, including assisting with labourer duties such as crack sealing, pothole repair, bridge and signage cleaning, and hazard remediation.
• Work outside in all weather conditions.

• Successful completion of pre‑employment drug and alcohol testing.
• Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting up to 50 lbs.
• Valid Class 1 or 3 driver’s licence with air endorsement.
• Clear 3‑year driver’s abstract.
• Previous experience operating a snowplow truck and/or wheel loader is a strong asset.

• Shift work, on‑call, and night shift may be required depending on weather patterns.
• Benefits and RSPs provided by CLAC union.
• Accommodation can be provided in Edson for the winter season only (no LOA or travel allowance).

• Base hourly rate: $26.50–$31.00 per hour based on experience.
• Premiums starting at $8 /hour for winter maintenance operations.
• Premiums starting at $14 /hour for winter operations as a Class 1 operator and while operating the tow‑plow unit.
