Senior Developer, Equity Markets

Our client is seeking a highly skilled Senior Developer to join their team. This role is responsible for designing and implementing high-performance software systems, leading architecture and development efforts, and collaborating with investment and technology teams to translate complex business requirements into scalable solutions. The successful candidate will bring deep technical expertise in Python and software engineering principles, combined with a strong understanding of asset management and capital markets.

Your success will be defined by your ability to:

Partner with the Public Equities team to design and deliver scalable technical solutions

Develop and deploy robust applications using Python, .NET, and related technologies

Lead architecture design and implementation for critical system features

Conduct code reviews, implement testing frameworks, and enforce best practices

Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Operations, Data, Infrastructure) to ensure seamless integration

Optimize system performance for large-scale data processing and analytics

Implement secure, reliable, and compliant solutions aligned with industry standards

Drive automation and efficiency improvements across development workflows

Document technical designs, processes, and best practices for knowledge sharing

Mentor junior developers and foster a culture of engineering excellence

Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and innovation in technology solutions

Your strengths include:

Minimum 8 years of software development experience with strong knowledge of design principles, algorithms, and data structures

Proven expertise in Python development

Experience with database design and SQL

Understanding of systematic investment strategies and equity research practices

Familiarity with Agile development methodologies

Advanced education (Master's or CFA), experience with Java or C#.NET, and prior exposure to financial services and public markets (preferred)
