Head of Fit Carpentry

We are establishing a new interior fit-out company and are seeking a highly skilled and entrepreneurial leader to set up and head our carpentry and fit-out division. The ideal candidate combines strong technical carpentry expertise with design sensibility, project management ability, and excellent customer-facing skills.

• Lead the setup of the carpentry workshop, including layout design, equipment selection, and supplier partnerships.
• Oversee full-cycle fit-out projects, from design development to installation and client handover.
• Interpret technical drawings and collaborate with designers/clients to translate concepts into buildable solutions.
• Manage customer relationships, ensuring high-quality service and satisfaction.
• Recruit, train, and supervise carpentry and installation teams.
• Ensure quality workmanship in carpentry fabrication and installation (cabinetry, joinery, partitions, fixtures).
• Source sustainable, cost-effective materials and manage supplier relationships.
• Oversee project schedules, budgets, and resource allocation.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards, building codes, and quality benchmarks.
• Drive innovation in materials, finishes, and fit-out methods to enhance design and execution.

• Minimum 8–10 years’ experience in carpentry and fit-out, with proven leadership in workshop and on-site execution.
• Strong technical knowledge of joinery, carpentry, and modern woodworking techniques (CNC proficiency preferred).
• Hands‑on ability in carpentry, with experience in both fabrication and installation.
• Solid understanding of interior design principles and ability to bridge design with buildability.
• Certification in Carpentry and Interior Fit-Out required.
• Track record of handling clients directly, including project scoping, budgeting, and delivery.
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem‑solving skills.
• Experience in commercial, retail, or hospitality fit‑out projects preferred.
