Position: Heavy Duty Mechanic
- Journeyman or Apprentice

Type: Fulltime

Location: Bonnyville, Alberta

Pay: Commensurate with education and experience

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Fleet maintenance.
  • Diagnose and repair diesel/gas engines and commercial trailers.
  • Diagnose and repair hydraulic systems.
  • Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues.
  • Record and maintain accurate work orders.
  • Complete ‘Commercial Vehicle Inspections’
  • Maintain preventative maintenance program.
  • Qualifications

  • Heavy Equipment Tech (HET) Journeyman Red Seal or an apprentice at any level or willing to enroll in apprenticeship program.
  • High school diploma with minimum of 2 years’ working experience.
  • Valid Class 5 license
  • Basic set of hand tools required.
  • Organizational, Interpersonal, and communication skills.
  • Strong work ethic, to work independently and within team.
  • A wide array of knowledge and experience with tools
  • Familiar with the latest vehicle diagnostic equipment
  • Experience in preventative maintenance including electrical, interior, air brake, tire, and body maintenance.
