OVERVIEW:

Alberta Blue Cross® has an immediate opening for an interior systems mechanic to join our team. Complying with all company policies, procedures and safety guidelines, the ideal candidate will be responsible to ensure that work is performed with a high level of quality and timeliness.

WHAT YOU WILL DO:

  • Commercial office space construction, including demolition work, steel stud framing, insulating, drywalling and painting.

  • Installation work, including modular carpet tile, baseboards, interior doors and window frames, and t-bar ceiling.

  • Ability to tape drywall would be an asset.

  • WHAT

    YOU WILL HAVE:

  • Minimum five years of relevant experience with preference given to those that hold an ISM Alberta certified Journeyman certificate.

  • Must have the ability to be able to read and interpret blueprints and drawings.

  • Able to lift 30-50 pounds and stand, crouch and kneel for a long period of time.

  • Good sense of balance when working on scaffolding and ladders.

  • Ability to work independently and with others.

  • Must be computer literate and follow safety guidelines and procedures.

  • Experience in operating power tools.

  • Ability to solve arithmetic problems quickly and accurately.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • This position will remain open until a suitable candidate is selected.
