Commercial Refrigeration​/HVAC Mechanic; Journeyperson

Rates are determined based on experience and tenure.

The pay range for Journeyperson’s are $53.89 to $59.17 per hour (depending on years of experience and supplemental rates/premiums). Dual ticket premiums will also apply.

KEY PERFORMANCE INDICATORS (KPI): TECHNICAL EXPERTISE & OPERATIONAL DUTIES (Weighting 60%) System Maintenance, Repair and Installation Installation of welded, threaded, and/or brazed refrigeration piping systems.

Conduct start-ups, inspections, troubleshooting, and preventative maintenance for refrigeration/HVAC systems, resolving system issues as needed.

Complete regulatory paperwork regarding refrigerant release, ABSA, CFIA, etc.

Problem Resolution Troubleshoot refrigeration/HVAC electrical control systems and perform necessary repairs.

Perform all work in compliance with the Quality Control and Health & Safety program.

Take on additional duties as required to support job function s.

Ensure accurate and timely completion of paperwork and reports to facilitate prompt invoicing and support customer and company needs Teamwork and Safety Prioritize workplace safety by adhering to all safety protocols and fostering a secure environment for colleagues and clients.

QUALIFICATIONS :
Journeyman certification or equivalent in HVAC refrigeration mechanics.

Basic computer skills required (MS Office Applications) Class A Gas Fitting, Electrician/Sheetmetal, and/or Hydronic experience is an asset Strong customer service and relationship-building skills.

Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.

Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.

Effective communication skills and ability to work in a team.

Willingness to learn and develop technical skills through on-the-job training.

Class 5 Driver’s License with a clean Driver's Abstract Ability to work independently and on-call.

Ability to work out of town.

Travel and overnight stays may be required from time to time.
