About the role
The Elevator Mechanic serves as the primary expert when it comes to the installation and service work for RAM Elevator and Lifts’ product lines. This individual helps oversee Technicians and aid in their professional development while delivering superior customer service when interacting with customers. The Elevator Mechanic will advise customers of both needed and proactive service offerings on installed products. This role requires travel to customer sites in both local and other regions.
Leadership and collaboration are key qualities that will ensure the success of this role.
Responsibilities
Residential elevator and commercial lift installation, inspections and service workOversee the development of TechniciansDetermine need for and perform major overhaul or replacement or defective equipmentRepair work as neededProvide excellent on-site customer service when interacting with contractors and customersOut of town travel within Alberta to customer sitesActively promote preventative maintenance planIdentify areas for continuous improvement and work with management to implementQualifications
Clear criminal background checkMinimum 5 years’ experience doing elevator and lift service and maintenanceAlberta Elevator Constructor Journeyman certificate is requiredAbility to lift up to 75lbs multiple times a dayFamiliarity with relevant elevator code is required (CSA B44-13, CSA B355-09, CSA , etc.)Must have good mechanical skill setMust be a self-starterMust perform at a high level of due diligence and have good attention to detailFamiliar with various hand and power toolsLeadership and ability to mentor othersFull Class 5 driver’s licenseExperience towing a trailer is an assetClear driver’s abstractAs they will need to be insured to drive company vehicles, successful candidates must be at least 25 years oldValid CSTS is requiredValid First Aid is requiredValid Fall protection training is requiredValid WHMIS is requiredJob Types: Full-time, Permanent
