Description:
ATCO Frontec is seeking a Red Seal Journeyman Plumbers/Gasfitter B to join our ATCO Facility Solutions team in Edmonton, AB
.
The Journeyman Plumber/Gasfitter is responsible for maintenance, modifications, and installation/dismantling of plumbing systems throughout our maintenance contracts and construction projects.
The successful candidate must be willing to work on call after hours and on weekends as required on a rotating on-call schedule. Tools, uniforms, PPE are provided.
Responsibilities:
Conduct timely inspections, testing, and accurate reporting of equipment defects and deficienciesInstall, repair, and maintain plumbing system, including pipes, valves, fittings and fixtures like toilets and sinksInstallation of Boilers, hot-water tanks and furnacesDiagnose and troubleshooting plumbing issues with precision and perform routine inspectionsContribute input for planned and scheduled work, and assist with completing the committed scheduleAid in scoping, estimating, planning, and executing new work or projectsProvide preventative and corrective maintenance for plumbing and heating equipment and systemsEnsure all installations, repairs, and maintenance are properly sized, aligned, supported, and gradedGuarantee all installations, repairs, and maintenance meet the requirements of the appropriate codes.Qualifications:
Journeyman Plumber Certificate and Red Seal with a minimum of years’ experience are requiredClass license and clean drivers abstract is requiredMust be able to pass a Drug & Alcohol test, Fit to Work test, and an extensive background checkMust be able to obtain and maintain a Government Security ClearanceStrong verbal and written communication skillsAble to read drawings and blueprintsAbility to build and work in a team environment is crucial along with a strong commitment to personal and team safetyWilling to travelWe would like to thank everyone for their application; however, only those being considered for an interview will be contacted.
