We are searching for a talented and highly self-motivated professional to join our outside sales team in Edmonton, Alberta. This role is essential to maintaining our success and building for the future. The successful Account Manager candidate is responsible for driving new growth, securing new business, and establishing new customers.
This is a full-time position to generate opportunity and grow within a leading industrial supply company. This position requires strong organizational, customer and sales relations, as well as a passion for working with others in a client-facing environment. Interpersonal and communication skills are necessary for this role.
This is a salary-based position with commission. The base salary is structured to support performance-driven earnings, with a strong commission plan that rewards results.
Key Responsibilities- Identify new opportunities within potential and existing clients and territory.
- Understand and meet customer product needs and expectations through appropriate pricing and selection.
- Introduce and demonstrate new products to appropriate clients.
- Traveling to potential and existing customers within an assigned sales area to present company offerings and build brand awareness.
- Maintain professional and productive relationships with customers and vendors.
- Coordinating and arranging client events, meetings, and appointments.
- Suggesting upgrades or added products and services that may be of interest to clients.
- Performs related duties as assigned.
- Demonstrate a desire to contribute to the Sales Team and the Company
- Sales professional with a proven track record in the safety or industrial distribution industry
- Strong product knowledge or industry experience
- Well-developed communication, interpersonal, organizational, and account management skills
- Collaborative team player

- Applicants must be willing to work and travel around Edmonton, Alberta (and the territory assigned)
- Minimum high school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of two (2) years of related experience
- Knowledgeable in the industrial distribution industry (an asset)
- Previous experience with CRM and SAP Database may be an asset
- Has a valid class 5 driver’s license and clean driver’s abstract
