- Grow and maintain Henkel’s (Loctite) General Industrial Adhesive Technologies business in Northern Alberta/Northeast BC
- Travel within the specified territory; approximately 40% overnight travel required. Occasional additional travel for training, meetings, etc.
- Establish and maintain relationships with key customers and distributors
- Provide value to end users by understanding and solving problems through adhesive solutions
- Prospect for new business opportunities at existing and targeted manufacturing and maintenance accounts
- Motivate, educate and close business by conducting manufacturing or maintenance seminars with end customers in a group setting
- Sell manufacturing and maintenance adhesive solutions, determine and support customer needs at existing and new accounts
- Develop new value-added opportunities to grow sales and market presence
- Develop and execute a Territory Business Plan, focusing on growth of key/target markets/customers within the territory
- Implement Time and Territory Management techniques to establish and achieve dollar-producing objectives on a monthly/quarterly cycle (e.g., distribution partnership plans)
- Learn and implement sales skills training as outlined in Henkel Training
- Implement marketing programs and provide marketing team with relevant feedback to meet market needs
- Educate, collaborate, and motivate our distribution channel partners to promote and sell Henkel solutions
- Assume other responsibilities and duties as assigned by the Regional Manager
- Operate within approved expense plan
- Post-Secondary or Technical Education required;
University Degree preferred - You possess a curious mind, strong mechanical aptitude and natural curiosity of manufacturing and maintenance processes
- Maintain an open mind and possess the drive to learn
- Must be a self–starter with the ability to work independently
- Demonstrates the ability to build and sustain effective working relationships to support internal and external collaboration
- Must have strong organization and presentation skills
- Must be competent with Excel, PowerPoint and Word
- Live within geographic core of territory (Edmonton & immediate area)
- Valid Driver’s License
