The Colbourne Institute for Inclusive Leadership (CIIL) empowers Western Canadian organizations to develop and maintain equitable and inclusive environments. Driven by research and data, our focus is on providing support and training to organizations as well as conducting innovative research in the areas of inclusion.
Reporting to the Director of the Colbourne Institute, the research coordinator will be tasked with supporting a new research project funded by the Tri‑agency council. From the Ground Up is a project that will measure the impact of the City of Edmonton’s revised Migrant Inclusion Policy.
In partnership with the City of Edmonton and local settlement and cultural agencies, this project will seek to measure the impact (or lack thereof) of such policies on newcomer inclusion, especially in the context of employment and business outcomes. The purpose of the Migrant Inclusion Policy is to advance the social inclusion and belonging of all migrants regardless of status in Edmonton, enabling them to thrive and flourish and ensure their full, equitable participation in the social, political and economic activities of the community.
Migrants are city builders and contributors of value to Edmonton's economy, enriching the city’s social and cultural fabric.
