Our incredible team at Mosaic is looking for a Veterinary Medical Receptionist to join our progressive, mixed animal practice in Drayton Valley, Alberta on a part time (3 days @ 9.5 paid hours each) basis.

The Opportunity

Our VMR’s must possess strong organizational skills, excellent telephone and in-person communication skills, and the ability to remain calm under pressure. Our employees are passionate and show great compassion for animals and their owners and understand the stress that patients and clients endure. As we are a mixed animal practice, VMR’s must be comfortable working around multiple species of animals. Our VMR’s daily duties comprise of the following, but they are not limited to these duties: greeting clients;

differentiating routine cases from emergency cases; scheduling appointments; entering client, patient, and financial data into the computer; generating invoices and explaining them to clients; processing payments; and managing the retrieval and storage of medical records.

  • A love for mixed animal medicine;
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills;
  • Demonstrated interpersonal and written communication skills;
  • A positive team player attitude to enable our team to grow and flourish;
  • The ability to lift 35+ pounds without assistance;
  • Strong organizational skills which allow you to stay focused and work under pressure;
  • Completion of a high-school diploma
  • Competence in the English language
  • Preference given to those with previous industry experience
