Overview

TAPP Workforce Solutions is seeking an experienced Mental Health Nurse to join a multidisciplinary outpatient mental health team in Alberta.

Location: Edmonton AB - Work on a military base
Contract: T4 Contract available at $67.75 per hour
Hours: 37.5/week, 7.5 hour days, M-F days (typically 7:30–16:00), 1 hour lunch
Direct care: 18–22 hours per week of direct client care, with built-in time for admin and team meetings
Benefits: health/dental, Christmas closure, 11 paid stat holidays, 4 weeks vacation (where listed)

TAPP Workforce Solutions is seeking an experienced Mental Health Nurse to join a multidisciplinary outpatient mental health team in Edmonton AB. This role focuses on delivering evidence-based mental health care to adults, with an emphasis on operational trauma, occupational health, and deployment-related care.

• Intake, crisis interventions, biopsychosocial assessment, individual therapy, medication monitoring.
• Must use CBT, Motivational Interviewing, Strengths-Based, or Solution-Focused Therapy.

Required Qualifications

• MUST meet 1/3 education pathways listed:
• Bachelors degree in Nursing from a recognized institution AND one of the following:
• Post-graduate Certificate in Mental Health Nursing
• CNA Certification in Psychiatric Mental Health Nursing (CPMHN)
• Bachelor of Science in Psychiatric Nursing (or equivalent)
• Bachelors degree in Nursing from a recognized institution AND a Psychiatric Nursing diploma

Other Requirements:

• Minimum 3 years of mental health nursing experience within the last 5 years (No gaps)
• Must have resided in Canada consecutively in the last 5 years (No gaps) to pass clearance
• Experience in adult community mental health settings
• Strong skills in psychotherapy,
  CBT
  , solution-focused therapy, and crisis intervention
• Current RN license in Alberta
• BLS or CPR/AED Level C (or willingness to obtain)

International Education Candidates are eligible. Candidates must provide an education evaluation letter confirming equivalency to a Canadian degree. A copy of this letter will be required during the screening process.
