We are seeking a skilled and motivated Grant Writer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in proposal writing and a passion for securing funding to support our organization's mission.

Description

What you’ll be doing:
This role involves researching potential funding sources, developing grant proposals, and managing contracts to ensure compliance with grant requirements. The Grant Writer will play a crucial role in our fundraising efforts and contribute to program development and strategic planning.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough research to identify potential grant opportunities that align with the organization's goals.
  • Write compelling grant proposals that effectively communicate the need for funding and the impact of our programs.
  • Collaborate with program staff to gather necessary information for proposals, including program development details and budgeting requirements.
  • Edit and proofread grant proposals to ensure clarity, accuracy, and adherence to guidelines.
  • Manage contracts related to awarded grants, ensuring compliance with all terms and conditions.
  • Maintain databases of grant applications, deadlines, and reporting requirements.
  • Prepare financial reports as required by funders, ensuring accurate representation of budget expenditures.
  • Assist in strategic planning efforts by providing insights from funding trends and opportunities.
Qualifications
  • Proven experience in grant proposal writing with a strong portfolio of successful submissions.
  • Excellent writing skills with a focus on technical writing and editing for clarity and impact.
  • Familiarity with fundraising principles and practices, including contract management and budgeting.
  • Proficient in database management.
  • Strong research skills to identify funding opportunities and analyze grant requirements effectively.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams while managing multiple deadlines efficiently.
  • Experience in program development and strategic planning is highly desirable.
