Fund Development Coordinator

Location: Edmonton, AB | in‑person/hybrid | Full Time | Union Position

About the Role

The Fund Development Coordinator plays a central technical and analytical role within CKUA’s Fund Development team. This position supports the systems, reporting mechanisms, and research activities that guide fundraising strategy and donor engagement. The work is rooted in data accuracy, thoughtful analysis, and strong coordination across campaigns and donor programs.

This role is responsible for maintaining and interpreting donor and campaign data, developing queries and reports, supporting donor research, and ensuring CKUA’s fundraising systems are organized, consistent, and ready to support both annual giving and major gift activity. The Fund Development Coordinator’s work helps the team understand trends, identify opportunities, and make informed decisions.

This position collaborates closely with colleagues across Fund Development, Marketing, and Finance. It is an excellent fit for someone who enjoys working with data, contributing to strategy through clear analysis, and managing complex information in a way that strengthens fundraising planning and donor stewardship.

How You’ll Make an Impact

You will help build CKUA’s capacity for data‑informed fundraising by managing and interpreting information that supports donor engagement, campaign planning, and decision‑making. This includes developing queries and dashboards, maintaining accurate constituent and campaign records, and preparing reporting materials used across the Fund Development team. You will also play a key role in ensuring donation data is processed accurately and consistently, supporting clean records, reliable financial reconciliation, and strong stewardship practices.

This role also supports the Centenary Campaign and related major gift activity through data, research, and coordination. You will assist with donor research using screening tools and public sources, prepare briefing notes and meeting materials as needed, track campaign activity, and ensure donor records reflect key interactions and next steps. You may also support the preparation of proposals, gift agreements, and analytical materials that inform campaign planning and reporting.

You will also contribute to initiatives such as 50/50 raffles, third‑party giving, grant coordination, and campaign events. In these activities, you will ensure data is collected, organized, and documented in a way that supports accurate reporting and meaningful evaluation.

Your work strengthens CKUA’s ability to understand donor behaviour, forecast progress, and steward supporters with accuracy and care.

What You Bring

You are someone who enjoys working with data and approaching information with curiosity, accuracy, and a problem‑solving mindset. You take pride in building clean, consistent datasets and using analytical tools to help others understand patterns and opportunities.

You have experience with fundraising databases or CRM systems such as Raiser’s Edge, Salesforce, Donor Perfect, or similar, and are comfortable developing queries, building reports, and maintaining structured information architecture. Experience with data segmentation, dashboards, wealth screening tools, or donor research platforms is a strong asset.

You are an effective communicator and can synthesize information into briefing notes, research summaries, or reporting materials that support donor engagement and strategy. You may…
