A summer opportunity awaits 1 motivated student at our Redwater facility and 1 at our Fort Saskatchewan facility beginning May 2026 for an approximate 4‑month term. This is a temporary, full‑time, hourly‑paid position open to current students who will be returning to their studies once this work term is complete.
What You’ll Do:- Laboratory bench work.
- General laboratory tasks (instrument maintenance and calibrations, chemical inventory, housekeeping).
- Physical and chemical testing of nitrogen fertilizers.
- Groundwater sampling and testing, grass sampling, and various environmental tasks and testing.
- Enrolled in a Science program (Chemical Technology or Chemistry) or equivalent degree/technical program.
- Competence in standard Microsoft Office software (Excel, PowerPoint, and Word).
- Class 5 Driver’s License.
- Previous related work experience at Nutrien or in another industrial setting, an asset.
- Confirmation of registration in a post‑secondary institution in a degree or diploma program in Fall 2026.
- Must be self‑motivated along with the ability to pay close attention to detail and have a strong ability to work individually as well as in a team setting.
