Job Overview:
Grizzly Trek is currently seeking one Industrial Tank Cleaning Supervisor to join our Valued Clients team at various shutdown projects across Western Canada.

This is a full-time, seasonal position, ideally suited to an experienced leader committed to excellence, safety, and team development.

Travel is required for this role.

The successful candidate will oversee tank cleaning operations while mentoring crew members and ensuring all work is performed in compliance with safety and operational standards.

Responsibilities:
Ensure Health and Safety is the number one priority by enforcing policies, procedures, and safe work practices at all times.

Supervise and coordinate industrial tank cleaning crews during shutdown projects.

Provide mentorship, coaching, and leadership to crew members to ensure safe and efficient job performance.

Oversee hands-on operation of centrifuge equipment to meet customer expectations.

Direct the transporting, carrying, and connection of hoses, fittings, pumps, and related site equipment.

Monitor and oversee operation of specialized equipment including pumps, breathing air systems, and cleaning tools.

Ensure proper donning and doffing of Haz Mat PPE and safe confined space entry procedures.

Oversee physically demanding cleaning activities including sludge and product removal from large storage tanks.

Communicate effectively with site supervisory personnel and client representatives.

Complete required documentation including safety reports, job hazard assessments, and daily field reports.

Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Extensive experience in industrial or refinery tank cleaning operations.

Proven supervisory experience with demonstrated mentorship and team leadership capabilities.

Valid Class 5 Driver’s License at minimum;
Class 3 Driver’s License preferred.

Strong understanding of confined space entry, Haz Mat procedures, and respiratory protection requirements.

Ability to work in industrial environments including refineries, petrochemical plants, utilities, and pulp and paper mills.

Ability to work outdoors in all elements and inside confined spaces wearing full Haz Mat apparel including breathing air lines or respirators.

Physically capable of performing and overseeing demanding fieldwork during extended shifts.

Preferred Qualifications:

Confined Space Entry and Monitor certification.

First Aid and H2S Alive certification.

Experience operating centrifuge systems, pumps, and vacuum equipment.

Previous shutdown and turnaround supervisory experience.

Strong safety record and knowledge of provincial OH&S regulations.

Work Environment:
Industrial worksites across Western Canada including refineries and petrochemical facilities.

Outdoor work in varying weather conditions.

Frequent confined space entry with full Haz Mat PPE and respiratory equipment.

High-paced shutdown environments requiring strong leadership and attention to detail.

Travel to project sites across Western Canada is required.
