Job Description
CEDA is currently seeking a motivated 2nd, 3rd, or 4th Year Apprentice Welder with structural experience to join our team in our Bonnyville Shop. Candidates must live in the Bonnyville/Cold Lake area.

Perform welding on structural steel componentsRead and interpret blueprints, shop drawings, and welding symbolsFit, align, and assemble structural steel componentsWelds metal parts as specified by layout or welding diagram (blue prints, engineering drawings and weld specifications)Operate shop equipment including overhead cranes, grinders, drills, and cutting equipmentFollow CWB welding procedures and company quality standardsConduct visual inspections of welds to ensure quality and complianceMaintain a clean and organized work areaAdhere to all company safety policies and Alberta OH&S regulationsWork collaboratively with shop foremen, welders, and fitters to meet production schedulesQualifications
Registered 2nd, 3rd, or 4th Year Apprentice Welder in AlbertaPrevious experience in structural steel fabrication (shop experience preferred)Valid CWB tickets considered an assetAbility to read and interpret structural drawingsValid driver’s license and reliable transportationSkills
Strong mechanical aptitudeSolid understanding of welding procedures and structural fabrication processesYou are safety focused when it comes to people and equipmentAbility to work independently and a part of a teamAdditional Information
