II. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
· Run panels to support loading operations including but not limited to:
o Optimizing process parameters
o Troubleshooting system issues
o Ensuring compliance with safety and environmental regulations.
o Partnering with on-shift Crew Lead to plan daily tasks for operational and time efficiency.
· Works with other members of the department’s natural work teams and subject matter experts, including non-Dow service providers within Site Logistics and/or 3rd. party service providers, in order to:
o Achieve each day’s shipping/receiving needs.
o Assure uninterrupted Site Logistics facility operations.
o Avoid unplanned events.
· Reading and interpretation of piping and instrumentation diagrams.
· Understand transfer systems including individual equipment functions (Blowers, Diverters, Instrumentation, etc.)
· Monitoring of Equipment, performing routine maintenance tasks, and adhering to safety protocols.
· Load/unload poly pellets.
· Offload Hexene, Octene, Metal Alkyl, and Fresh Solvent.
· Operate forklift.
· Follow and actively participate in the Site Logistics EH&S employee health & safety programs
· Utilize established tools, processes and procedures.
· Comply with the department’s Operating Discipline Management System (ODMS)
· Follow the associated steps of the relative work processes which include, but are not necessarily limited to, the use of the:
o Supply Chain Material Flow Work Process
o Operate Plant Work Process
o Global Maintenance Work Process
· Must wear personal protective equipment including a respirator and/or other PPE that covers the face.
· Other duties as assigned.
III. QUALIFICATIONS
The qualifications listed below represent the credentials necessary to perform the essential duties of this position. A. Education and/or Experience
· 4th Class Power Engineering preferred.
· High School diploma (or equivalent) required.
· 6+ months experience required.
· Valid Class 5 Driver’s License required
B. Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
· Must be able to work under pressure.
· Attention to detail.
· Data entry into multiple tracking tools.
· Problem Solving Skills
· Superior communication skills;
Must be comfortable engaging in a variety of different communicative modes (verbal, non-verbal, and written) and being attuned to others through strong active listening skills.
· Ability to assess multiple tasks and develop a plan to complete them in a timely manner.
· Must have the ability to work well with others as part of a team.
C. Language Skills
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports, shift logs and correspondence. Ability to clearly describe issues for resolution. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business information, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
D. Mathematical Skills
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.…
