    Learn more about OCL here:  The Role We are seeking a motivated Journeyman Pipefitter to join our fabrication team.

    This is a full-time, shop-based role with a schedule of Monday to Friday.

    Day and night shifts available.

    Future project requirements may include overtime, weekend shifts, or short-term field work.

    Compensation/Benefits Competitive wage with excellent hourly compensation Overtime after 8 hours per day.

  • 6% vacation pay and 4% stat holiday pay on all regular hours.

    Benefits after 90 days of employment (50% employer paid) - vision, health, dental, paramedicals, travel Long term disability, AD&D, life insurance, dependent life insurance Weekly pay Responsibilities/Duties Maintain equipment.

    Read blueprints and specifications.

    Layout, assemble, fabricate, maintain and repair piping systems which carry water, steam, chemicals or fuel used in heating, cooling, lubricating and other processes.

    Demonstrate knowledge of functional operation of various piping system components by measuring, cutting, threading, grooving of pipes, valves and fittings Layout, assemble, fabricate, maintain and repair pressurized piping systems Hydrotest and install fabricated pipe spools within structural steel modular assemblies, adding designed supports as required Use testing equipment effectively to check for system leaks and troubleshoot fitting errors Maintain all tools, work area and equipment in a clean and orderly fashion Read and interpret client and company supplied construction fabrication drawings and specifications Red-line update drawings to an as-built condition Ensure FLRA is completed at the beginning of every job and work is completed safely.

    Complete equipment maintenance in line with OCL Group and industry standards, procedures and practices.

    May perform other related duties assigned Maintain shop cleanliness.

  • Key Skills/Competencies Previous fabrication shop experience is an asset Reliable with a strong work ethic Good attention to detail Ability to work independently and as part of a team Versatile and flexible - able to work in the field or on a project as needed A motivated, self-starter Eager to learn, develop and grow Takes pride in their workmanship; aims for a zero repair rate Takes pride in safety, document control, lock-up procedures & preventative maintenance Excellent english communication skills required Able to follow directions Performs well under pressure and tight deadlines Experience/Education/Qualifications Registered Journeyman Pipefitter Previous experience in a shop or industrial fabrication environment CSTS 2020 Fundamentals (contains WHMIS 2015) May be required to complete a pre-access drug and alcohol test when working on certain sites May need to have certain safety tickets and complete site specific orientations for certain sites Class 5 driver’s license with reliable transportation to and from work Must be legally eligible to work in Canada OCL Group Inc.
