ROLE DESCRIPTION

Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, this position is responsible for the effective functioning of the mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic equipment for the Edmonton South Sofina Foods Plant.

DUTIES

Accountable for the effective functioning of the electrical systems or mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems in the facility.

Accountable for the effective installation of new equipment or the installation, welding and fabrication of new equipment.

Responsible for identifying and requesting proper parts to complete repairs in a timely manner.

Assisting MP2 Coordinator to ensure accurate and sufficient parts inventory.

Complete accurate and timely documentation as required.

Accountable to adhere to and utilize Company policies and procedures and HACCP regulations.

Accountable to ensure a safe work environment for coworkers, customers, and visitors.

Other duties, related to the position, will be assigned as required.

QUALIFICATIONS

Valid Journeyman Millwright Certificate in Alberta is required.

Minimum two years experience performing repairs in a manufacturing environment.

Mechanical systems, welding, fabrication, and machining experience or mechanical, electrical and refrigeration experience.

An ability to use power and manual tools required.

A 5th Class Power Engineering Certificate (Alberta) is an asset.

Basic computer knowledge.

Ability to communicate in English, both verbally and in writing.

New wage rate: $45.77 / hour + Shift Premium, Benefits, Company-Matched Pension, Sick Days, Personal days, annual increases and more.

Shift: Currently have 2 positions available on the following 8 hour shifts:

Monday to Friday, 2:30 PM / 3:00 PM start, plus daily overtime and Saturday overtime as needed
