How you’ll make a difference:
Reporting to the Vice President, Client Services & Disability Management these roles are expected to drive operational excellence by ensuring that the Claims portfolio consistently delivers on its commitments—corporate KPIs, strategic plan priorities, and service-level expectations of injured workers and employers. Through effective leadership of managers, the director ensures alignment across their portfolio and in collaboration with other directors - promoting a high-performance culture, employee engagement, and operational stability.
This role requires a leader who balances operational excellence with inspirational, people-centered leadership and leads with purpose and presence, translating strategy into a compelling narrative, and fostering a culture of trust, inclusion, accountability, and psychological safety. Externally, the role fosters trust-based relationships with key stakeholders such as the Industry Task Force, the Labour Coalition, large employers, and other system partners—enhancing WCB’s credibility and responsiveness.
