This is a great opportunity to lead Sun Life's Sun Advantage business across the Western Region, driving strategic growth and operational excellence.

You'll combine business acumen with people leadership to build a high-performing team, strengthen advisor and plan sponsor relationships, and exceed financial targets.

What will you do?

  • Develop and execute the strategic business plan for Sun Advantage in the Western Region
  • Working collaboratively with Business Development Leadership to achieve targeted financial outcomes
  • Build and maintain strong partnerships with key advisors, plan sponsors, and internal stakeholders; focus on satisfaction, retention, and long-term growth
  • Drive new business development, client expansion, and net sales while maintaining profitability across the segment
  • Foster a high-engagement, high-performance culture that attracts and develops talented professionals committed to exceeding objectives
  • Collaborate with peers to establish and implement best practices, processes, and procedures that enhance organizational effectiveness
  • Represent Sun Life at industry, business, and community events, strengthening external brand presence and internal relationships
  • What do you need to succeed?

  • Minimum 5 years + in Group Benefits industry
  • 5 years+ in senior leadership roles managing teams
  • Post-secondary degree in a related field (or equivalent experience)
  • CEBS designation (preferred asset)
  • Valid driver's license with willingness to travel as required
  • Proven ability to lead, coach, and mentor diverse teams in demanding environments while driving change and building trust
  • Strong understanding of sales planning, financial analysis, and business metrics
  • Skilled communicator who develops and maintains trusted relationships internally and externally; strong negotiation and influencing capabilities
  • In-depth knowledge of group benefits products, services, and processes
  • Committed to the highest standards of business ethics and governance with unwavering customer focus
  • This position covers the Western Region, including Manitoba, Saskatchewan, Alberta, and British Columbia.
