This is a great opportunity to lead Sun Life's Sun Advantage business across the Western Region, driving strategic growth and operational excellence.
You'll combine business acumen with people leadership to build a high-performing team, strengthen advisor and plan sponsor relationships, and exceed financial targets.
What will you do?
Develop and execute the strategic business plan for Sun Advantage in the Western RegionWorking collaboratively with Business Development Leadership to achieve targeted financial outcomesBuild and maintain strong partnerships with key advisors, plan sponsors, and internal stakeholders; focus on satisfaction, retention, and long-term growthDrive new business development, client expansion, and net sales while maintaining profitability across the segmentFoster a high-engagement, high-performance culture that attracts and develops talented professionals committed to exceeding objectivesCollaborate with peers to establish and implement best practices, processes, and procedures that enhance organizational effectivenessRepresent Sun Life at industry, business, and community events, strengthening external brand presence and internal relationshipsWhat do you need to succeed?
Minimum 5 years + in Group Benefits industry5 years+ in senior leadership roles managing teamsPost-secondary degree in a related field (or equivalent experience)CEBS designation (preferred asset)Valid driver's license with willingness to travel as requiredProven ability to lead, coach, and mentor diverse teams in demanding environments while driving change and building trustStrong understanding of sales planning, financial analysis, and business metricsSkilled communicator who develops and maintains trusted relationships internally and externally; strong negotiation and influencing capabilitiesIn-depth knowledge of group benefits products, services, and processesCommitted to the highest standards of business ethics and governance with unwavering customer focusThis position covers the Western Region, including Manitoba, Saskatchewan, Alberta, and British Columbia.
