General Managers of Service Delivery are responsible to ensure Cando’s teams provide exceptional service to new and existing customers. With a focus on safety, General Managers are responsible for leading their teams of Site Leaders in promoting Cando culture, developing operational plans, monitoring safety performance, managing the customer relationship, and delivering business unit profit and loss results.

General Responsibilities
Safety

Participate in weekly safety meetings with leadership team, and site safety assessments

Ensure all safety incidents, near losses, and hazard identifications are investigated with documented corrective actions and review all corrective action plans

Participate in incident investigations for serious or high-potential events

Ensure completion and annual review of required safety training for all site personnel

Escalate systemic or repeated safety risks through formal divisional protocols

People / Talent Development / Leadership

Conduct semi-annual, formal performance reviews for Superintendents and direct reports

Hold regular documented coaching discussions with Site leaders throughout the year

Ensure completion of required leadership development programs by Superintendents and site leaders

Maintain current development plans for Superintendents and other identified successors

Participate in quarterly leadership or Superintendent forums as scheduled

Ensure staffing plans are reviewed at least annually and updated based on operational needs

Service

Conduct monthly service performance reviews for assigned sites

Participate in customer review meetings as required, and at least quarterly/annually for major accounts

Lead post-startup or post-change service reviews for new or significantly modified operations

Ensure service issues are addressed and corrective actions tracked to completion

Escalate systemic service or contract risks through formal channels

Maintenance & Asset Reliability

Conduct regular (at minimum quarterly) maintenance and reliability reviews for assigned operations

Participate in all maintenance-related incident investigations with documented corrective actions

Cost / EBITDA Management

Develop annual operating and capital budgets for assigned sites

Review financial performance and forecasts monthly

Review capital project status and spend at least monthly during execution

Conduct post-project reviews for major capital projects

Escalate material budget variances or capital risks through formal governance processes

Continuous Improvement & Business Development

Participate in cross-functional continuous improvement initiatives as scheduled

Provide operational input into business development opportunities as requested

Participate in startup planning and readiness reviews for approved growth initiatives

Support post-startup reviews to capture lessons learned and improvement opportunities

Skills, Knowledge, & Abilities

Strong relationship management skills and the ability to build and grow both employee and customer loyalty

Team player that is results-oriented with a personal style that fosters an atmosphere of cooperation and teamwork

Ability to develop and articulate clear and concise approaches to enhancing and growing operations
